Trixie Travers never wanted her time-travel powers back.

For nearly a decade, life at The Speckled Hen Farm had been blissfully ordinary. Well, as ordinary as it gets with a husband who’s often away flying helicopters, two young kids in primary school, and a freshly converted barn ready for her new vintage repair business, Paraphernalia.

But when a dusty old Polaroid camera is dropped off for her to look at, everything changes.

The moment Trixie touches it, the world tilts—and she slips back to the late 1980s, straight into a mystery surrounding a missing girl and a mother who never stopped searching.

The Silver Ladies—her strong-willed mum, her mischievous gran, and their equally silver-haired best friend—insist that if Trixie’s ability has returned, there’s a reason. Between their gentle meddling, small-town gossip, and a mystery that refuses to stay buried, Trixie must face the one thing she’s been avoiding for years: her own extraordinary gift.

Warm, witty, and wonderfully nostalgic, Trixie Travers is Captured in Time is a cozy mystery about family, courage, and the magic of finding purpose when life doesn’t go to plan.

About The Author

Hi! I’m cozy mystery author Abbie L. Martin.

My cozy mystery books are set in the delightful surroundings of rural South Australia, where my characters solve mysteries whilst drinking wine, reading books and strolling through cute towns.

I have dreamt of becoming an author since I was a child, but I finally decided to bite the bullet and published my first book in 2023. Since then I have continued The Lilly Pilly Creek Ghost Mysteries series, and have plans to continue the series as well as creating a new series.

I live in the Adelaide Hills with my husband and three children, and enjoy nothing better than curling up with a book and a coffee or a glass of Adelaide Hills Sparkling.
